SMS Messaging Policy

Effective May 20, 2026 · Victory Christian Academy / VCA Virtual.

Quick summary. VCA Virtual sends SMS text messages to parents, guardians, and authorized contacts who have explicitly opted in through one of our enrollment or inquiry forms. Messaging is transactional (about your student) and conversational (about your inquiry). Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. Frequency varies but typically does not exceed 5 messages per month per family.

1. Who we are

Victory Christian Academy ("VCA," "VCA Virtual," "we," "our," or "us") is a Wisconsin 501(c)(3) nonprofit private school operating an online program serving Wisconsin choice-program families. Our SMS messaging program supports enrollment, attendance, academic communication, billing notices, and emergency alerts.

2. How you opt in

You opt in to receive SMS messages from VCA Virtual only by taking one of the following affirmative actions:

We do not purchase, rent, or transfer phone numbers from third parties. We do not share opt-in data with affiliates for their independent marketing. The phone number you provide is used solely for VCA Virtual communications and VCA-managed services such as our Student Information System.

3. What we send

Once you opt in, you may receive any of the following:

We do not send promotional advertisements, sweepstakes, sale offers, debt-collection notices, or content that promotes gambling, firearms, cannabis, or any prohibited industry under the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices.

4. Message frequency

Frequency is event-driven. A typical family receives up to 5 messages per month. Volume may be higher during enrollment season or in response to emergency alerts.

5. Cost

VCA Virtual does not charge to send these messages. Message and data rates may apply per your wireless carrier's plan.

6. How to opt out (STOP)

Reply STOP, END, QUIT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any VCA Virtual SMS message. You will receive one confirmation reply that no further messages will be sent. To re-enable later, reply START, or re-opt-in on an inquiry form.

7. How to get help (HELP)

Reply HELP or INFO to any VCA Virtual SMS message to receive a reply with our contact information. You may also email virtual@vcaschool.org for support during business hours (Mon–Fri, 9 AM–5 PM Central Time).

8. Supported carriers

Messages are supported on all major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, and most regional carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

9. Privacy

Your mobile number and SMS-consent record are stored in our customer-relationship management system and Student Information System and are governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not sell mobile-number lists. Vendor processing is limited to delivery partners (such as our SMS gateway provider) bound by data-processing agreements and used solely to transmit VCA Virtual messages to your device.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the SMS program after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
