Accreditation & Standards
Victory Christian Academy has upheld a legacy of academic excellence for over 25 years—fully accredited by Cognia, a globally recognized leader in school quality and continuous improvement.
Our Cognia accreditation affirms that VCA meets the highest standards of educational practice, governance, and student achievement. Cognia (formerly AdvancED/SACS/CASI) accredits over 36,000 institutions in more than 85 countries—holding schools accountable to research-based benchmarks that prioritize both academic results and organizational health.
What Accreditation Means for Our Families
As a fully accredited K–12 institution, VCA ensures that all student records, credits, and diplomas are accepted nationwide. Accreditation guarantees that:
- Coursework is transferable to other schools and districts
- Credits meet graduation and college admission requirements
- Instruction is reviewed for academic rigor, integrity, and effectiveness
Our accreditation gives families confidence that they are part of a trusted institution—not only academically, but also spiritually and ethically aligned with Christian values and classical learning traditions.
Virtual Programs and Cognia Standards
VCA Virtual operates under the same accredited umbrella as our in-person programs. Whether a student learns on campus or online, they receive instruction that meets Cognia’s rigorous standards for academic quality, institutional effectiveness, and learner engagement.
Additionally, VCA partners with Great Hearts Online to provide accredited classical instruction. GHO is also independently Cognia-accredited, and serves students across multiple states through its full-time virtual academy. This dual-accreditation model ensures that all VCA Virtual students are learning in an academically validated environment with high levels of accountability and continuity.
This approach gives families the best of both worlds: the flexibility and formation of VCA Virtual, supported by the academic structure and credibility of two Cognia-accredited institutions.
More Than Compliance—A Higher Calling
While accreditation is essential, it is not our highest aim. At Victory Christian Academy, we believe that education is ultimately a moral and spiritual endeavor. Our mission is not merely to meet standards, but to form students in truth, goodness, and beauty—through classical curriculum, virtuous habits, and Christ-centered guidance.
Accreditation supports our mission by ensuring academic integrity and public trust. But our true measure of success is the formation of hearts and minds aligned with wisdom, faith, and purpose.
