Special Needs Scholarship Program (SNSP)
The Special Needs Scholarship Program (SNSP) provides state-funded tuition support for eligible students with disabilities to attend participating private schools—like VCA Virtual—at no cost to the family.
Eligibility
- The student must have a current Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Services Plan (SP) from a Wisconsin public school district.
- The student must have attended a public school in Wisconsin in the prior school year or meet specific exceptions.
- Residency anywhere in the state of Wisconsin is required.
Scholarship Amount
The state-determined scholarship amount for SNSP students typically exceeds $14,000 annually, depending on services needed. This amount covers tuition, support services, and accommodations tailored to the student’s needs.
How to Apply
Families apply directly through VCA Virtual’s admissions process. If your child has a valid IEP or Services Plan and meets the other eligibility criteria, we will help you complete the application for SNSP funding with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
