A well-run school doesn't announce much. The few times something needs to be said school-wide, it goes here.

Most communication at VCA Virtual happens directly — from your Academic Coach, your Faith Coach, the Virtual Administrator, or the Principal — to your family. School-wide announcements are reserved for things that affect every household: weather closures, schedule changes, board decisions, and the occasional letter from the Principal. We'll publish active announcements here as they arise.

How Announcements Work

Three channels.

When something needs to reach the whole school, it travels three ways at once.

Email

School-wide emails go to the email address on file for every enrolled family. Make sure your address is current with the Virtual Administrator.

Time-sensitive announcements are posted here as they happen. Older announcements are archived but remain accessible.

SMS for Urgency

For genuine emergencies — weather closures, last-minute schedule changes — we use SMS to the phone numbers on file. Limited use; never used for marketing.

2026–27 Year Begins

First day of classes is Mon Aug 17, 2026. Parent Orientation & Block Party at the campus on Fri Aug 7 (5–8 pm). Coach assignments shared in early August.

2026–27 Choice Windows

Wisconsin DPI runs eight monthly application windows Feb–Sep 2026 for the 2026–27 school year. The May window is open now (May 1–20). See Important Dates.

Choice Count Date

Wisconsin DPI's official Choice count date is Fri Sept 18, 2026 — the third Friday of September. Choice families enrolled and verified by that date count for the first state aid payment.

Wednesday Chapel Open

Families considering VCA Virtual are welcome to attend Wednesday chapel before applying. Contact admissions to arrange a guest visit.

A direct line to the school.

Most concerns don't belong on a school-wide announcement. They belong in a direct conversation with the right person on the team. Your Academic Coach handles academic questions; your Faith Coach handles formation questions; the Virtual Administrator handles operational questions.

For concerns that go beyond what those three can address — or for matters of conscience, mission, or the school's direction — the Principal’s door is always open. Email the Virtual Administrator to schedule.

We are not too big for a real conversation. We do not intend to become so.
