Why WVS Exists

A bridge for the scholar who needs one.

VCA Virtual is a Christian classical school at heart. The classical pathway through Great Hearts Online is the academic core for most of our families. But not every scholar arrives at the right age, with the right preparation, or in the right circumstances to thrive in classical — particularly those joining us mid-high-school, needing credit recovery, or requiring the NCAA-approved catalog for athletic recruiting.

For those scholars, Wisconsin Virtual School fills the gap. WVS is a state-approved K–12 online program authorized through CESA 9, taught by Wisconsin-certified teachers, and aligned with all Choice Program graduation requirements.

VCA Virtual is the school of record. Every WVS family joins the same Christ-centered school community: chapel, daily devotions, Faith Coach, Academic Coach, and full Choice Program access.

What This Pathway Offers

A state-approved program, backed by Wisconsin’s own teachers.

VCA Virtual’s Wisconsin Virtual School pathway is a state-approved K–12 online program authorized through CESA 9 and aligned with national standards for online-learning quality.

Every course in this pathway is taught by a licensed Wisconsin educator who holds state certification in their subject area.

High-school courses are approved for NCAA eligibility, so student-athletes keep every collegiate door open.

Work through curriculum on your own schedule — with optional Live Connect Times for direct teacher access.

Every family is paired with a VCA Virtual Academic Coach who monitors progress and helps coordinate any extra support a scholar needs.

VCA Virtual brings what a public-school program cannot — chapel, coaches, prayer, and Christian community. Families on this pathway belong to the same VCA Virtual school as every other family.

Every family receives a dedicated Faith Coach — a named adult whose job is your scholar’s spiritual formation alongside their coursework.

An Academic Coach

Weekly review of grades, attendance, and completion across every course — with early intervention before anything slips.

Chapel & Devotions

Every family is fully part of VCA Virtual’s chapel, devotional, and prayer community — the Christ-centered rhythm of the school year.

All Four Choice Programs

Tuition covered by MPCP, WPCP, RPCP, or SNSP for eligible families. Your state aid follows your scholar into VCA Virtual.
