Soli Deo gloria. To God alone be the glory.
The weekly rhythm that keeps every VCA Virtual student rooted in the One they are learning to serve.
Daily devotions begin at 7:35 am. Wednesday is full chapel together as a virtual community. Prayer, Scripture, and song are not extracurricular — they build the spiritual and cultural climate.
VCA Virtual’s spiritual formation is structural, not sentimental. Built into the calendar, named in the schedule, owned by a director and a coach — not bolted on after the fact.
Devotions begin 7:35 am. Wednesday brings the full chapel together. The week begins and ends in prayer.
Brief 20-minute devotions before class — a passage of Scripture, reflection, and prayer to center the day’s learning on Christ.
Mid-week chapel gathering — Scripture reading, worship through song, a brief message, and prayer over every VCA Virtual student. Parents welcome to attend.
A closing rhythm to lift up requests, celebrate answered prayer, and send students into the weekend with a blessing over their families.
Christian formation at VCA Virtual is held by four elements — not added on, but woven through every day of the school year.
The Word of God is the spine of everything we teach. Every chapel, every devotion, every Faith Coach conversation begins with Scripture — not as decoration, but as authority.
Singing and musical worship are essential components of chapel. We partner with Milwaukee-area churches and worship leaders so the experience feels like the real thing — not a recording.
Our Director of Christian Character Formation oversees biblical teaching woven through the year — not a separate Bible class, but biblical integration across the rhythms of the school.
The Faith Coach prays with families, tracks prayer requests, and coordinates intercession for every VCA Virtual student. Prayer is structural, not sentimental.
VCA Virtual is a Christian school in the historic, biblical sense — not aligned with one specific denomination. Our chapel and devotions are designed to be a home for families from Reformed, evangelical, Catholic, Orthodox, Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran, charismatic, and non-denominational backgrounds.
What unites our families is the historic Christian faith summarized in our seven articles: the authority of Scripture, the lordship of Jesus Christ, the dignity of every human being, biblical marriage, parents as primary educators, Christian liberty, and biblical justice.
Every family is welcomed to worship in their own home church on Sundays. Chapel is not a substitute for the local church — it is the school’s daily turning toward Christ together.
“But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”Matthew 6:6 · KJV
Families considering VCA Virtual are welcome to attend a Wednesday chapel before applying. The best way to know our school is to worship with us.
